Thank you for shopping with Uniform Concepts. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Below you’ll find our policy for returns, exchanges, refunds, and related procedures.
To be eligible for a return or exchange:
Timeframe: You must request a return or exchange within 30 days from the date of delivery (or collection for click & collect or on-site shop orders).
Condition: Items must be:
- Unworn, unused, and in original condition.
- With all tags, labels, and packaging intact.
- Washed, altered, or damaged items are not eligible (unless the damage is due to a manufacturing fault).
Proof of Purchase: You must provide the original order number, proof of purchase (invoice/receipt), and, if applicable, photographs of the item’s condition.
Items not eligible for return or exchange (unless defective) include:
- Customised items (e.g. items with name embroidery, patches, custom sizing, printed designs, school crests) once produced.
- Clearance, sale, or heavily discounted items (unless faulty).
- Accessories (e.g. socks, undergarments, caps) for hygiene reasons — unless there is a manufacturing defect.
Faulty or Defective Items
If the item you received is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described:
- You must notify us within 14 days of receipt.
- Provide details and photographic evidence of the defect or damage.
- We will arrange for a full refund, replacement, or repair at our discretion, including cover of return shipping costs (if applicable).
Uniform Concepts complies with applicable Australian consumer laws (e.g. the Australian Consumer Law) and will honour your rights in the event of a major failure or defect.
Request a Refund or Exchange
Visit a Uniform Concepts Store
- Bring the item(s) you wish to return or exchange to any Uniform Concepts retail store or your school’s on-site uniform shop.
- You must provide proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or order confirmation).
Assessment In-Store
- Our staff will inspect the item(s) to confirm they meet our Returns & Exchange eligibility criteria (unworn, unwashed, tags intact, within 30 days, etc.).
- For faulty or defective items, our staff will assess the fault and process a replacement, refund, or repair as required under the Australian Consumer Law.
Processing Your Return/Exchange
- If approved, we will process your exchange immediately, subject to stock availability.
- For items of higher value, you will be asked to pay the difference.
- Refunds (where applicable) will be processed back to the original payment method.
- If the item is not eligible for return or exchange, our staff will explain the reason and advise on any available options.
Other Conditions
Late Returns / After Deadline
- Returns or exchange requests made after 30 days may be accepted only at our discretion (e.g. in extenuating circumstances).
- In such cases, we may offer store credit instead of a refund.
Promotional & Gift Items
- Items purchased under promotion (e.g. “Buy One Get One Free”) must be returned/exchanged proportionally (e.g. both items).
- Gifted items: the original purchaser must request the return or exchange.
- Gift cards cannot be refunded under any circumstances. If a return is approved for an item purchased with a gift card, a store credit will be issued instead.
- Final Sale Items cannot be returned.

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a full refund, store credit, or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our return policy.
All returns must be postmarked within fourteen (14) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with all original tags and labels attached, and with proof of purchase.
To return an item, you have two options available:
Post your return
Place the item securely in its original packaging, including the proof of purchase and any original tags, and mail your return to the original Uniform Concepts store where purchased items were dispatched.
Please note that you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend using a trackable method to mail your return.
In-store return
You may also bring the item directly to the designated Uniform Concepts store where it was originally purchased or dispatched. Please ensure that all conditions are met before returning in person.
Conditions for Returns:
- Returned items must not have been worn, washed, or altered in any way.
- Returned items must have the original packaging and swing tags still attached to the garments.
- All returns must be sent to, or brought to, the original store where the item was purchased or dispatched from.
After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least thirty (30) days from the receipt of your item for your return or exchange to be processed. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to appear on your credit card statement, depending on your credit card company.
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, for example:
- If the purchase was made in cash, the refund will be returned in cash.
- If the purchase was made by card, the refund will be returned to the same card used for the original transaction.
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Worn Items
- Unpackaged Items
- Removed Tag Items
